Over Zand:
Een korrelig zand dat zorgt voor drainage. Dit is een wat grover zand zodat het niet te compact wordt en de wortels goed kunnen ademen. Zand zorgt er ook voor dat de potgrond wat losser is en het water ook naar de fijne en kleine wortels kan lopen.
